A wise woman I know once gave me the advice to “always ask for what you want, sometimes you get it.” I asked for this restaurant and now it is mine! I am so pleased to have a place that makes people happy.

Here at the Diner we serve a wide variety of dishes to please many different tastes. Our goal is to have something for everyone to enjoy. Breakfast dishes range from the classic eggs and grits to pancakes and muselix. Lunch invites you to try salads, sandwiches and of course the seafood. Not to be missed are our fresh fish of the day and oyster or shrimp po-boys on Gambino’s bread. In addition to all our menu staples, we also have a special everyday. Our dinner menu gives my chef a chance to show off. We use seasonal vegetables to create new menus. By buying the produce at the Finley Avenue Farmers Market we get the chance to know the farmers we buy from and to design our menu around what is best for the season. We are also blessed with the ability to get the freshest seafood everyday from Snapper Grabbers Seafood. Having a fish market right next door makes our seafood options endless. My chef, Jeremy Downey is from Bayou La Batre. His love of beautifully prepared seafood began with the great cooks he grew up with. He shares that knowledge and respect for seafood with every dish he makes. We use as many local ingredients as possible to create our dishes. Our grits are ground in Wilsonville and we have wine bottled for us at Vizzini Vineyards in Calera. All of our desserts are homemade.

I am blessed with a group of employees who share with me the desire to serve people beautiful food efficiently. They are like a family to me. I am also so fortunate to be in a community that supports me. Thank you. If I haven’t met you yet, I would love to have the opportunity to serve you a meal that will make you happy.
